One Comment to “Session 5: Luke/Acts”
What a fascinating background on Luke/Acts! Kathy was wondering if the possible emphasis in Luke on the outsiders or those of lower degree indicate that Luke was also of that class (tying to the traditional attribution of Luke as a “physician”).
Joyce mentioned that her husband, August and Paul Meyer used to sit next to each other in seminary class and play hangman. . .
David’s question–why does Luke have so many songs–particularly in the almost musical theatre script of the birth narrative.
Joyce mentiosn that she has noticed in Luke how often Jesus calls people out from crowds–particularly lifting up those who were thought of as lesser.
